Hotel room QR print & batch management

QRFront links one QR code per room automatically when you save room records — there is no separate manual “generate code” step in the standard workflow.

Setup workflow

Log in to the hotel admin dashboard.
Open Room setup (/admin/rooms) and add floors and room numbers.
Open QR Management & Print (/admin/qr-print) to preview and print cards.
Distribute printed cards to housekeeping for placement during room prep.

Download, print, and reissue

These actions are different operations:

Print — use the built-in print layout for room cards.
Download — export QR image files when the UI offers download (for external print vendors).
Reissue / regenerate — replace a QR only when the admin UI exposes that action (for example after a security event).

Do not confuse registering a room with reissuing an existing QR.

Batch operations for multi-floor hotels

For properties with dozens or hundreds of rooms:

Create floor groupings first so housekeeping can verify placement by zone.
Print in batches by floor to simplify QC (scan test one room per floor before full rollout).
Keep a master list of room numbers aligned with your PMS room codes even though QRFront does not require PMS sync.

Guest scanning

Guests use the native camera app — no QRFront guest app. If a QR fails:

Check lighting and print contrast.
Confirm the room is active and any required upgrade payment for new bands is complete.
